Two Artists share Virtual CommUNITY Experiences
JOIN US FOR FREE HANDS-ON, BRAINS-ON VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES WITH AMY REID AND PETER KRSKO. GET READY TO STRETCH YOUR MIND, CREATE, AND BE INSPIRED.
Our six-week Artist in Residence program includes artists with a diverse range of multimedia disciplines, and we’re thrilled to share these unique experiences with you. Our hope: that this program will provoke important conversations and strengthen our commUNITY. Worth it, we say.
TOGETHER WE’LL BUILD OUR OWN EXOSKELETON SCULPTURE.
Explore tensegrity with Peter Krsko, multi-disciplinary artist and biophysicist, as we construct three-dimensional forms with wooden sticks and stretch wrap. The resulting structure is unexpectedly strong – no fasteners or glue needed.
Best suited for ages 5 and up. Adult supervision is requested.
Materials (free, per one participant):
- • 3 wooden sticks (1×2 furring strip cut into 16-24 inch sections)
- • 1 small stretch wrap
Materials can be found at your local hardware store. Please arrange to have them ahead of time. If you are participating in the Columbia, MD area and would like to pick up free supplies ahead of time, please contact #ob#Xryyla#at#12OrrfPerngvir.pbz#ob#
CREATE AND SHARE HAIKU POETRY INSPIRED BY NATURE.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary marvel Amy Reid and Tim Singleton as he teaches us how to write a haiku, all while pondering nature and our connectivity with each other. After the workshop, the poetry will be collected and incorporated into the final, phenomenal project.
All ages are welcome.
