Books in Bloom Returns to Columbia for Its Ninth Year

Get ready, bibliophiles! On May 10, the Books in Bloom festival is back in Columbia, hosted by the Downtown Columbia Partnership and Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. at Color Burst Park in the Merriweather District. This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features renowned authors, exciting activities, and local talent.

Highlights include a new storytelling session about motherhood, “Spilled Milk,” and appearances by authors like Kwame Alexander, a New York Times bestselling author, and Eric Puchner, Oprah’s March Book Club selection winner. The festival also celebrates emerging student authors and local literary voices, creating a truly dynamic experience.
