Our new medical office building is rising.
10285 Lakefront, the latest addition to the 391-acre redevelopment of Downtown Columbia, is healthy from the inside out. Construction of this 86,000-square-foot, four-story medical office building is well underway. Located in the heart of Columbia on the south shore of Lake Kittamaqundi and next to Whole Foods, and just minutes from Johns Hopkins Howard County General Hospital, Howard Hughes is committed to promoting a healthy sense of community.
“Our community has a deep connection to the lakefront and its beautiful, natural setting,” shared Greg Fitchitt, Howard Hughes Columbia President. “10285 Lakefront will be a compelling example of what a thoughtfully designed building can bring to the community in addition to the great businesses that will call it home.”
Features include:
- A new public promenade that links to local restaurants and retailers, including Whole Foods
- Improved access to the Lake Kittamaqundi Trail
- Additional EV charging stations
- More parking directly on the Lakefront
- Pursuing LEED Gold certification
Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland (OACM) has signed on to occupy 20% of the building. The group will relocate from its existing Columbia office in early 2024.
10285 Lakefront is walkable to Merriweather District with new eateries including Peter Chang, Toastique, and Busboys and Poets and the storied entertainment venue, Merriweather Post Pavilion. Fitness boutiques including Mayweather Boxing and YogaSix offer weekday classes, further emphasizing the commitment to wellness and health care. Merriweather Row, the newly renovated office buildings with state-of-the-art amenities, is also walkable; it includes the outpost of Baltimore restaurant, The Food Market.
