Columbia, Maryland retains a Top 10 position as one of the Happiest Cities in America. The annual report published by WalletHub has ranked the Howard County community high on its list for three consecutive years.

This year, rankings also show that Columbia is the #5 happiest city for emotional and physical well-being. This metric indicates that the city meets a strong life-satisfaction index, has lower depression rates, an active, athletic lifestyle, and demonstrates adequate sleep rates. To develop this report, WalletHub compared 182 of the largest cities across three key dimensions: Emotional & Physical Well-Being, Income & Employment, and Community & Environment.
